Abrasive Blades has been manufacturing customised resin bonded cut-off wheels at its Watford site since 1950 and is the UK’s leading supplier to the industrial and metallurgical markets. Typical examples of material cut using abrasive wheels include case hardened metals, tool steels, inconel, chrome, cobalt, titanium, tungsten and molybdenum.
The company’s current list of clients includes major players in the automotive, aerospace, steel, foundry, cable and construction industries. Individual contracts range from metallurgical laboratory cutting and fine thin-walled tube to steel plate and heavy industrial castings such as land-based turbine blades for power generators.
